Two Art Shows in One Month!

Prior to May 5, it had been a very long time since I’d displayed art anywhere. Now, I’m about to endeavor on my second showing this month! That’s nearly a record for me!

Taxman Bargersville has art on it’s walls all the time, and I’m participating in a pop-up show that will display my art as well as several other local artists. Since much of my art is still on display at Uptown Cafe and there hasn’t been enough time for me to finish anything new, I’m actually putting in a few of my favorite pieces, as well as a few handmade necklaces that haven’t seen the light of day in a while.

While I don’t imagine anything going as well as the first day of my show at Uptown, I’m hoping to at least get my name out there more!

The show is a one-day event that goes from 6 pm – 9 pm. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and take a look!

Afterthoughts

My goodness, I could not have expected my art show to go any better than it did. I feel like such a success right now, which is a bit unusual.

Not only did a decent number of friends and family show up (thank you to you all, it was great to see you!!), but I sold SEVEN paintings. SEVEN! Just a few blogs ago I was whining about being unsure if I could even sell one!

I’m not sure if those who came had already intended to buy paintings or if seeing the art on the gallery walls made the difference, but either way I am grateful.

My art is on display at Uptown Cafe until June 2, so there’s even time to sell more! I’m not sure if that will happen, but either way this has been an amazing experience.

Thank you again to everyone who stopped by and to those who organized the event, and a HUGE thank you to everyone who purchased a painting. I hope you love them as much as I do!

2 Days to Go: Some Final Thoughts

I started the process of signing up for this art show at Uptown Cafe in July 2017. At that time, May 2018 seemed like a million years away. Now, I have just 2 days before my show is on display!

It’s been 2 years since I’ve participated in any type of art show, and this will actually be my first-ever solo show!

As you can imagine, I’m very excited and very nervous.  Continue reading
